I first came upon the short stories and poetry of Dorothy Parker as
an undergraduate student. While searching for the perfect one act, I
was thrilled to discover that her short story titled Here We Are
had been adapted to the stage. Published in 1931, the play examines
a newlywed couple en route to their honeymoon. There is humor,
frustration, anger, jealousy, compassion and ultimately courage; all
the ingredients of a naturally irrational love affair. Georgia Belling |
