What does mastering a Rubik's Cube say about somebody? Is a Vinny Barbarina reference as viable as one to Edmund Spencer? When I first encountered this play, it was simply a scattershot comedy. After getting to know it, it was a drama containing characters seething with rage. I finally came to this: It is neither and both. More importantly, I realize it represents a very real cross-section of society. And life is confusing. Some would say sloppy. |
