Jeanne Leep, Ph.D.

Edgewood College Theatre Producer, Head of Acting & Directing Program, Associate Professor - Acting, Directing

Jeanne Leep serves as the head of the acting and directing program for the Department of Theatre Arts and the Producer for the Edgewood College Theatre Company. She is the winner of the 2011 Edgewood College Sister Stevie Award, the college’s most prestigious honor. Jeanne is a founding member of River City Improv, an award-winning performance improvisational company based in Michigan. Her book Theatrical Improvisation was published by Palgrave Macmillian in 2008.

Phil Martin, Ph.D.

Musical Theatre

Phil Martin is a Professor of Theatre at Edgewood. His expertise includes theatre History and Musical History. As a published songwriter and playwright, his works include The Wisconsin Story for the sesquicentennial of Wisconsin and Songs of the Orphan Train Riders. His most recent project is Fatherhood: the Musical.

Chris Dunham

Assistant Professor—Technical Theatre

Chris Dunham is the Assistant Professor of Theatre Design and Technology for the Department of Theatre Arts and Technical Director for the Edgewood College Theatre. He has worked professionally with Theatre Tuscaloosa, The Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Purdue University, CTM, and TAPIT/New Works among others.

Susan Nanning-Sorenson

Senior Instructor —Theatre Education

Susan Nanning-Sorenson is a Senior Instructor in Theatre Education. She is the Owner and Artistic Director of First Act Children's Theatre in Madison, and she specializes in Theatre for Young Audiences, Musical Theatre and Puppetry.

Audrey Lauren Wax

Theatre Arts Instructor and Box Office Manager

Audrey is an alumna of Edgewood College. She has directed plays all over the Pacific Northwest as well as right here in Madison. She is currently the Artistic Director for Madison's StageQ, Inc. where she recently directed Much Ado about Nothing. She also co-wrote, directed and produced Conceal & Carry: Queers Exposed which debuted at Broom Street Theater in 2012.

Costume Shop Manager

Mary Waldhart (Costume Designer/Shop Manager) has been the Madison Repertory Theatre’s Resident Costume Designer, Shop Manager, and Costume Director during the course of her 21-year career with the Rep. Additional design credits include Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Madison College, University Theatre, New American Theatre, Next Act Theatre, and Children’s Theater of Madison.

Donna Peckett

Tap Instructor

Donna Peckett (Choreographer and Performer) is the Tap Instructor at Edgewood College. She co-founded "TAPIT/new works Ensemble Theater" in 1985. The recipient of several arts fellowships, she has toured across the US and abroad.
