Greetings from the Edgewood College
Regina Theatre!
Our goal at Edgewood College is to train and educate active, knowledgeable contributors to the theatre world through a philosophy grounded in a liberal arts education.
Our faculty and staff are committed to the collaborative and creative process of theatre, to helping our students prepare to meet the demands of the art and craft of theatre, while at the same time nurturing the whole person for a fulfilling life in today's society. Our approach is hands-on, combining the training and production experience with a thorough study of dramatic literature, theory and criticism.
Over the course of a student's tenure, the Edgewood College Theatre experience presents a diverse program of live theatrical events. Four main stage productions are presented each year, ranging from Greek drama to Shakespeare, from restoration comedy to modern musicals, along with numerous student projects and one-acts. All of this provides students with opportunities to gain valuable performance experience and develop technical skills of designing, stage managing or crewing a production.
We are proud of the community we create in the theatre with students and with the College overall. The low student-faculty ratio allows for plenty of personal contact with professors, allowing students to ask questions, share ideas or just talk theatre. Opportunities allow students to direct, tour, study abroad, design lights or even stage their own original works. If possible, we will find a way for you to express your passion in theatre.
Take time to explore the website, arrange for a visit on campus, and get to know the exciting theatre program offered at Edgewood College.
